French club AS Monaco are pushing to secure the services of Ansu Fati this summer.
The Ligue 1 club has been in talks to sign the Spanish forward of Guinea-Bissau descent since the 2024/25 football season ended.
Sources have revealed that the negotiations could be finalised in the coming days before the end of the week.
Ansu Fati, 22, has already agreed to a move to the Ligue 1 club, and the Catalan club are keen for the transfer to go through.
Initial discussions centred around a loan move with a €12 million purchase option, alongside a buyback clause and a percentage of future transfer fees in favour of Barcelona.
However, the clubs are now exploring the possibility of a permanent transfer that could secure additional long-term financial benefits for the La Liga giants.
One of the last hurdles to overcome is the structure of Fati’s wages should the move proceed as a loan.
According to Transfer Insider Fabrizio Romano, talks are at the final stages, and Fati’s move is set to be wrapped up this week.
