Mounir Obbadi, a key player for AS Monaco this season, has provided insights into the club’s ambitions and prospects for the future. Despite acknowledging PSG’s status as favorites for the upcoming Ligue 1 season, Obbadi remains optimistic about Monaco’s chances, especially with anticipated big-name signings during the summer transfer window.

In an interview with Le Parisien, Obbadi expressed confidence in Monaco’s ability to strengthen their squad significantly for the next campaign. “We need to improve upon this season, that’s for sure! As a competitor, that’s always the objective… It’s going to be exciting because Monaco will be welcoming some top players next season. This is great news for football fans in France,” he stated.

However, Obbadi remains pragmatic regarding PSG’s dominance, emphasizing the continuity and quality of their squad. “It’s still premature to make predictions because in Paris, top players have been playing together for several seasons. PSG will remain the favorite for the championship next season. They are expected to reinforce their squad with more top signings,” he remarked.

The competition promises to be intense next season, particularly if Monaco follows through with their plans to recruit top European talents.
