AS Monaco is working to secure the future of Soungoutou Magassa, a rising star whose performances have garnered significant interest from top European clubs. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Inter Milan reportedly expressed interest in the young Franco-Malian midfielder during the previous transfer windows, but Magassa ultimately chose to remain with the Monegasque side.

Known for his dynamic style of play and versatility across midfield roles, Magassa has quickly become a valuable asset to Monaco.

His contributions this season include 13 appearances across all competitions, highlighted by a goal in the UEFA Champions League.

AS Monaco views the 19-year-old as a cornerstone for their future and is determined to ward off potential suitors.

To reinforce their commitment, the club is actively negotiating a contract extension that would keep Magassa at Stade Louis II until June 2029, two years beyond his current deal, which expires in 2027.

French outlet L’Équipe reports that discussions between the player and Monaco are progressing positively.

Magassa, currently valued at €8 million, is eager to continue his development at a club that has provided him with opportunities to showcase his talent on both domestic and European stages.

Magassa’s performances have not only caught the eye of rival clubs but have also solidified his standing within Monaco’s squad.

The club’s management is confident that extending his stay will enhance their long-term competitiveness while offering the player a platform to further elevate his career.

With the proposed contract extension, Monaco hopes to fend off interest from Premier League and Serie A giants and ensure Magassa remains an integral part of their midfield.

For the player, staying at Monaco represents a chance to build on his impressive start and solidify his reputation on the European football scene.

This move underlines AS Monaco’s strategy of nurturing young talent and maintaining a strong core of promising players, positioning them for sustained success in both Ligue 1 and international competitions.

As negotiations continue, the club and its supporters remain optimistic about securing Magassa’s future.
