AS FAR to face Tanzania in friendly after Botola Pro postponements

Moroccan champions AS FAR will face the Tanzania national team in a friendly match on Friday as the club seeks competitive action following the postponement of their opening Botola Pro fixtures.

The match is scheduled for 16:00 local time and comes after AS FAR’s second-round league meeting with Renaissance Berkane was postponed.

The Rabat-based side also missed their opening league fixture against Raja Casablanca, which was also rescheduled.

AS FAR turn to Tanzania friendly

The friendly against Tanzania will give AS FAR an opportunity to maintain match fitness while waiting to resume their domestic campaign.

The club recently appointed Portuguese coach Soares Gonçalves Pedro Valdemar as head coach of the first team.

Gonçalves has signed a two-season contract with the Moroccan club and replaces compatriot Alexander Santos.

AS FAR will now use Friday’s meeting with Tanzania as part of their preparations ahead of the return to competitive action.
