AS FAR supporters are facing a real travel scare ahead of their crucial CAF Champions League clash away to Egyptian giants Al Ahly in Cairo on 15 February.

According to Moroccan outlet Hesport, hundreds of Royal Army fans who applied for visas at the Egyptian embassy early this week have still not received a response, leaving their travel plans in limbo.

This delay is creating serious anxiety among the travelling supporters and official delegations tied to the game, with several flights scheduled for the end of the week and a growing risk that many will simply be unable to board in time.

On the pitch, the stakes could not be higher for the Moroccan side. Royal Army sit second in their group on 5 points, level with Tanzania’s Young Africans, while Al Ahly lead the standings with 8 points and JS Kabylie of Algeria lie bottom on 2 points. Before the Cairo showdown, Royal Army will first host Young Africans this Saturday in Rabat in another decisive group-stage battle that could define their route to the knockout rounds.

For the faithful fans desperate to be in Cairo, every passing day without visas increases the fear of missing what may be their club’s most important away night of the season.
