Moroccan club AS FAR secured their spot in next season’s CAF Champions League with a dominant 3-0 away victory over Hassania Agadir on the final day of the Botola Pro season.
The crucial win allowed AS FAR to finish as runners-up with 57 points, edging out Wydad Casablanca by three points to claim second place.
Hassania Agadir, on the other hand, ended their season in disappointing fashion, finishing 13th with just 29 points. They will now face relegation playoffs to avoid dropping to the second division.
Alongside AS FAR, two other Moroccan teams, Wydad Casablanca and Raja Casablanca, will represent the country in continental competitions.
Wydad concluded their league campaign with a solid 2-0 victory over Nahdat Zemamra at the Mohammed V Stadium on Sunday night.
The win lifted them to third place with 54 points, securing their qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup. Zemamra finished their season in fifth place with 47 points.
Meanwhile, Raja Casablanca had already secured their place in the CAF Confederation Cup by winning the Throne Cup, defeating AS FAR 2-1 in the final.
