Arthur Atta: Fiorentina eye move for Udineses Franco-Beninese midfielder
Arthur Atta, the France- and Benin-qualified midfielder currently at Udinese, is being linked with a move to Serie A rivals Fiorentina as the Tuscan club look to reinforce their central options this summer.
The 23-year-old, under contract with Udinese until 30 June 2029, has an estimated value of around 25m and any deal is expected to involve a significant fee. Fiorentina are monitoring his situation after a strong spell in Udine, where he has established himself as a regular in Serie A.
Atta joined Udinese permanently ahead of the 2025-26 season after an initial loan from Metz the previous year, with the Italian side paying 8m to make the move long term. Since arriving in Italy he has featured heavily in the league, making 59 Serie A appearances and contributing five goals and four assists from central midfield, as well as scoring once in four Coppa Italia outings.
Born in Rennes and standing at 1.89m, Atta came through the youth ranks at Rennes before moving to Metz as a teenager and progressing from their U17 and U19 sides into the first team. His development in Frances lower divisions and Ligue 1 paved the way for his move to Udinese, where his performances have drawn attention from within Italy.
With three years remaining on his deal in Friuli and no release clause publicly indicated, Udinese are in a strong position should Fiorentina decide to formalise their interest in the right-footed midfielder.
