Arsene Kouassi provides assist as Lorient suffer defeat by Le Mans

FC Lorient were beaten 2-1 by Le Mans on Saturday in the fifth round of Ligue 1, despite a late response. Burkina Faso left-back Arsene Kouassi started the match and played the full 90 minutes.

Lorient, who had fallen behind, pulled a goal back in the 79th minute when Jessen converted after being set up by Kouassi. The assist was the defender’s first of the season.

However, the Merlus could not find an equaliser and left empty-handed, suffering another defeat in the league.
