Arsene Daouda: Senegal midfielder joins Shahdag FK on free transfer

Senegal attacking midfielder Arsene Daouda has joined Shahdag FK on a free transfer from FK Cabrayil. The 21-year-old has been added to the Azerbaijani club’s squad ahead of the 2026-27 campaign after his move was completed on 24 July 2026.

Daouda, who operates primarily as an attacking midfielder, arrives at Shahdag FK following a spell with fellow Azerbaijani side FK Cabrayil. The switch keeps him in the same national set-up but offers a new environment as he looks to establish himself at senior level.

The Dakar-born midfielder has already had a taste of knockout football in Azerbaijan, featuring in the Azerbaycan Kuboku. He played the full 90 minutes in one cup tie, underlining his readiness for first-team responsibility in a competitive setting.

Shahdag FK will view the addition of a 21-year-old international-born player as an opportunity to deepen their options between midfield and attack without a transfer fee. Daouda’s ability to operate in an advanced central role gives the coaching staff another option for linking play in the final third.

Daouda’s registration with Shahdag FK is now complete following his free transfer from FK Cabrayil.
