Arsenal track Rio Ngumoha as Liverpool teenager attracts Premier League interest
England-Nigeria winger Rio Ngumoha, currently at Liverpool, has been linked with a move to Arsenal.
The 18-year-old left winger joined Liverpool’s senior squad in July 2025 after moving from Chelsea’s youth system to Liverpool Under-18s for €3.2m the previous September. He is contracted at Anfield until 30 June 2028.
Ngumoha has made three Premier League appearances this season, alongside one outing in the Champions League and one in the EFL Cup. He has yet to score or provide an assist in those competitions.
The London-born player is listed as a left winger and prefers his right foot. His current market value is €30m, a figure that places him among the higher-valued young players in Liverpool’s squad despite his limited senior experience.
Arsenal and Liverpool are both competing in the Premier League, and the reported interest comes as Ngumoha continues to establish himself at his current club. Liverpool signed him from Chelsea’s youth system before promoting him from their Under-18 side.
There is no indication that a transfer has been agreed, and Ngumoha remains a Liverpool player. His contract gives the club control over his immediate future, with the current agreement running for two more seasons beyond the 2026-27 campaign.
