Premier League outfit Arsenal have targeted Franco-Cameroonian midfielder Lucien Agoumé as potential replacement for Ghana star Thomas Partey.
Partey is set to part ways with the Gunner as his contract is due to expire on June 30 as initial contract renewal talks has stalled.
Despite imminent arrival of Martin Zubimendi, the Gunners has set sights on the Franco-Cameroonian to further strengthen their squad for the new season.
Per reports, Arsenal is targeting Sevilla midfielder Lucien Agoumé as Partey’s replacement. The midfielder is being compared to N’Golo Kanté for his ball-winning ability and reliability in the holding role.
However, Sevilla’s price tag for the highly rated midfielder remains unknown. With his contract expiring in 2028, Arsenal will have to pay more for the defender.
The 23-year-old Franco-Spanish midfielder made 35 appearances in the La Liga for Sevilla, scoring one goal and providing three assists across the period.
