Arsenal are intensifying their transfer planning ahead of the summer window, with Nigeria international Victor Osimhen emerging as one of the leading names on their shortlist, according to Spanish outlet AS.

Sporting director Andrea Berta reportedly travelled to Istanbul to watch the high-profile derby between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, using the opportunity to monitor several potential transfer targets in person.

Despite the recent addition of Viktor Gyökeres, Osimhen remains firmly in Arsenal’s thinking. The trip is said to have given Berta valuable insight into the striker’s current situation and the possibility of securing a deal in the future.

Arsenal’s scouting mission was not limited to the Nigerian forward. The club are also tracking Galatasaray attacker Baris Alper Yilmaz, admired for his ability to operate across the frontline, as well as Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Çakir, who has impressed with consistent performances in domestic competition and the Champions League.

Çakir, regarded as one of the most prominent goalkeeping exports from Turkish football in recent years, has drawn attention for his high save rate on the European stage, while Yilmaz continues to build a reputation as a versatile attacking option.

The club’s presence in Istanbul highlights a broader strategy to expand their scouting reach as they prepare to strengthen key areas of the squad ahead of next season.

Osimhen, meanwhile, continues to deliver on the pitch, having scored 13 goals in 20 appearances so far this campaign.
