English club Arsenal are interested in signing England defender of Ivorian descent Marc Guehi.
The Crystal Palace centre-back has emerged as a top target for the Gunners after missing out on Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen.
Last summer, Palace reportedly placed a £70 million price tag on Guehi, but with just a year remaining on his current contract, the 24-year-old could now be available for a reduced fee.
Arsenal are not the only club monitoring the situation. Fellow English Premier League clubs Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, and Manchester United are all believed to be keeping tabs on the defender.
It is now up to Arsenal to move fast and open talks with Crystal Palace to have the chance to sign Guehi before the other interested clubs poach the player.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are set to benefit from any potential deal, with a 20% sell-on clause in place.
