Premier League outfit Arsenal have expressed a strong interest to sign Nigeria and Atalanta star Ademola Lookman ahead of the summer transfer window.

Lookman, who is set to depart Atalanta at the end of the season has attracted a lot of interests from club in Europe due to his top-class performance.

The African Footballer of the Year holder has reportedly requested to be sold to the Premier League in the next window, with Arsenal being a key contender for his services.

Lookman has unfinished business in the Premier League having endured underwhelming stints with Everton and Fulham previously, before developing into an elite-level player in recent years.

The Nigeria international delivered an impressive performance to help Atalanta thrash giants Juventus 4-0. Lookman registered his name on the scoresheet, earning praises from coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

In an attempt to convince Lookman to stay, Gasperini eulogized the Africa star as a potential captain for Atalanta.

However, sources state that it is increasingly likely that Lookman will pursue a new challenge this summer and he would be very interested in a return to London, where he played with Fulham.

Lookman has continued his fine form for Atalanta this term, notching an impressive 18 goals and seven assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.
