Arsenal emerge as frontrunner to sign Brahim Diaz
Arsenal FC have emerged as the leading contenders in the pursuit of Moroccan star Brahim Díaz, with growing reports indicating the Premier League side could formalise their interest with a concrete offer in the summer of 2026.
Although Diaz is not a guaranteed starter at Real Madrid, the Moroccan international has delivered several standout performances this season. His growing influence has not gone unnoticed, as top clubs across Europe continue to monitor his progress closely.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is believed to be a keen admirer of the attacking midfielder and is determined to inject more creativity into his squad. The North London club is reportedly preparing an offer in the region of €35 million plus add-ons in a bid to test Madrid’s resolve.
The proposed plan would see Diaz link up with Martin Ødegaard, forming a dynamic partnership aimed at unlocking stubborn defensive setups and enhancing Arsenal’s attacking fluidity.
Interest in Diaz is not limited to Arsenal alone. Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are also said to be keeping a close watch on his situation in Madrid.
Uncertainty continues to surround Diaz’s long-term future at Real Madrid. While some reports suggest he remains content and feels valued by the coaching staff, others indicate he could be open to a move in search of a more consistent starting role.
The 24-year-old remains under contract with the Spanish giants until June 2027, though discussions over a possible extension have reportedly taken place.
Despite his rotational role, Diaz has still made a meaningful contribution across competitions this season. His performances on the international stage, particularly at AFCON 2025, where he impressed for Morocco, have significantly boosted his profile and attracted greater attention.
While no agreement is currently close, Arsenal’s interest appears genuine. The final outcome may ultimately hinge on whether Diaz is ready to leave Madrid in pursuit of a more prominent role in London.
