Arsenal beat Ipswich Town 4-2 as Fulham and Brentford progress in League Cup

Arsenal continued their perfect start to the season with a 4-2 victory over Ipswich Town in the third round of the English League Cup.

Max Dowman scored twice for Arsenal, while Noni Madueke and Mikel Merino were also on target.

Ipswich Town replied through Anis Mehmeti and Chuba Akpom, but Arsenal held on to secure their place in the next round.

The result means Arsenal have won all six of their matches in every competition this season, without a draw or defeat. Their victories include four in the Premier League, one in the Champions League and one in the English League Cup.

Elsewhere, Fulham claimed their first win of the season by beating West Ham 3-2 to also advance in the competition.

Brentford completed a successful night for the Premier League sides with a 2-1 victory over Reading.
