Arsenal, Barcelona and Mohamed Salah feature in Monday’s football schedule

Arsenal begin the defence of their English title against Aston Villa on Monday, while Barcelona host Rayo Vallecano and Mohamed Salah is expected to lead Trabzonspor in their Turkish league visit to Amedspor.

The day’s programme also includes three matches in the Egyptian league, with Zamalek facing Montakhab El Suez Petrojet, while Al Masry take on Pyramids and Petrojet meet National Bank of Egypt.

Egyptian league

Zamalek face Montakhab El Suez Petrojet at 20:00, with the match being shown on On Sport.

Al Masry play Pyramids at the same time, with coverage available on On Sport Max.

Earlier in the day, Petrojet face National Bank of Egypt in a 17:00 kick-off. That game will be broadcast on On Sport Plus.

The two 20:00 matches provide the evening focus in Egypt, while the meeting between Petrojet and National Bank of Egypt opens the league schedule.

English league

Arsenal meet Aston Villa at 22:00 in the final match of the second week of the English league season.

Arsenal are described as the reigning champions and will face Aston Villa in a late fixture broadcast by beIN SPORTS 1 HD.

The match is one of the headline games on Monday, alongside Barcelona’s home fixture in Spain and Trabzonspor’s trip to Amedspor in Turkey.

Spanish league

Barcelona host Rayo Vallecano at 22:30 in the Spanish league.

The game will be shown on beIN SPORTS 2 HD and is scheduled to follow the Arsenal-Aston Villa match by half an hour.

Turkish league

Trabzonspor travel to face Amedspor at 21:30, with Mohamed Salah preparing to lead the visitors.
