English Premier League side Arsenal are advancing in talks to extend the contract of Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey.
The current contract of the Black Stars’ midfield enforcer will expire on June 30, 2025.
However, with the club keen on keeping him at the club, talks are already underway, as confirmed by Arsenal on Wednesday morning.
“….the following players’ contracts also expire on June 30, 2025. Discussions are ongoing, and once matters are finalised between all parties, we will communicate in due course; Chloe Kelly, Thomas Partey, and Michal Rosiak,” Arsenal announced.
In the last few hours, sources have revealed that the club and the representatives of Thomas Partey are close to agreeing on a deal for the contract extension.
Both parties are happy to continue, and it’s only a matter of time before the contract extension is signed.
Thomas Partey is set to stay at Arsenal for at least one more year despite interest from Saudi clubs ready to pay big money to secure the services of Ghana midfielder.
