Arne Slot confirms Mohamed Salah’s return ahead of Aston Villa clash

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has confirmed that Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah will be available for Friday’s Premier League encounter against Aston Villa at Villa Park, although the winger is expected to feature only briefly.

Speaking ahead of the match, Slot revealed that Salah is nearing full fitness after recovering from a muscle injury that has sidelined him in recent weeks.

“Mo will only be available tomorrow for a few minutes, but hopefully he can make it,” the Liverpool boss said during his pre-match press conference.

Liverpool head into the clash looking to strengthen their position among the Premier League’s top sides and secure qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League after falling out of the title race.

Salah’s absence in the closing stages of the campaign has been a significant blow for the Reds, with the Egyptian star missing several key matches due to injury.

The former AS Roma and Chelsea FC attacker has been Liverpool’s leading scorer across all competitions for nine consecutive years, playing a pivotal role in one of the club’s most successful modern eras.

Since arriving at Liverpool FC, Salah has helped the club win major honours including the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
