Arnaud Kalimuendo: Nottingham Forest and France striker linked with return to Eintracht Frankfurt

Arnaud Kalimuendo, the France/DR Congo centre-forward currently at Nottingham Forest, is being linked with a move back to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga. The 24-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan with the German club, is under contract at Forest until June 2030 but is again attracting interest from Frankfurt as they assess their attacking options.

Forest paid €30 million to sign Kalimuendo from Stade Rennais in August 2025 and now value him at around €25 million, a figure likely to shape any negotiations. His previous spell in Germany gave Frankfurt a close look at his profile, with the forward scoring six goals and providing one assist in 19 Bundesliga appearances.

Kalimuendo has found Premier League opportunities limited so far, making nine appearances for Forest and playing 88 minutes in total. That lack of consistent game time has added to speculation that both player and club could be open to exploring alternatives, despite the length of his deal at the City Ground.

The Suresnes-born striker built his reputation in France, scoring 53 goals in 156 Ligue 1 matches and winning the French title with Paris Saint-Germain in 2021-22 before moving to Rennes. He also claimed a silver medal with France’s Olympic team in 2024, further underlining his experience at a high level.

For now, Kalimuendo remains a Forest player with four years left on his contract, leaving the Premier League side in a strong position should Frankfurt decide to formalise their interest.
