Armindo Sieb joins LAFC as Bayern Munich forward begins MLS chapter

Germany-Mozambique forward Armindo Sieb has joined LAFC from Bayern Munich, completing a move to Major League Soccer at the age of 23.

Sieb has signed a contract with the Los Angeles club running until 30 June 2029. He plays primarily as a second striker and can use either foot, adding an attacking option to LAFC’s squad.

The Halle-born player returned to Bayern Munich in June after spending the 2024-25 season on loan at Mainz. Mainz paid a €1m loan fee for his services, having previously moved from Greuther Furth to Bayern for €1.5m in July 2024.

Sieb’s most recent competitive campaign included seven appearances in the 2025-26 Uefa Conference League, where he scored once. He started 20% of the possible games in the competition and played 24% of the available minutes.

He came through the youth systems of Motor Halle, RB Leipzig and Hoffenheim before joining Bayern Munich’s academy in 2020. Sieb then progressed to Bayern Munich II, making the move from the club’s under-19 side in 2021, before joining Greuther Furth the following year.

His early career included a top-scorer award at the 2019-20 Under-17 Algarve Tournament, where he scored three goals. He was also part of the Bayern Munich II side relegated from the third tier in the 2020-21 season.

Sieb’s market value was listed at €2.5m when he left Bayern, having previously reached €4m in July 2024. He now begins his next chapter with LAFC after ending his spell in the Bayern system.

The 23-year-old has joined LAFC on a contract that runs through June 2029.
