Antwi Dacosta: Ghanaian Y. Apostles FC Defender Linked with Troms IL Switch

Ghanaian centre-back Antwi Dacosta of Y. Apostles FC is being linked with a move to Norwegian Eliteserien side Troms IL as the Scandinavian club explore defensive options for the upcoming window.

Dacosta, 19, is currently playing in Ghanas Premier League and has emerged as a potential recruit for Troms as they look to strengthen from overseas markets. The young defender is viewed as a candidate to bolster depth at centre-back, with the Norwegian top flight club assessing whether to advance their interest into formal talks.

The teenagers development at Y. Apostles FC has brought him onto the radar of clubs outside Ghana, with Troms tracking his progress at domestic level. Any deal is expected to be structured around his current valuation of about 300,000, a fee that would represent a notable piece of business for a Premier League club in Ghana and a relatively low-cost investment for an Eliteserien side.

A move to Troms would represent Dacostas first step into European club football, with the Norwegian league often used as an entry point for players from African competitions seeking to establish themselves on the continent. For Y. Apostles FC, losing a 19-year-old regular from the heart of their defence would be a significant decision, set against the financial upside of a sale.

For now, Dacosta remains a Y. Apostles FC player, with Tromss interest yet to progress into an agreed transfer.
