Antonio Nusa transfer latest as Roma weigh costly move
Antonio Nusa is back on AS Roma’s transfer radar, but the move looks expensive.
Italian reports say the RB Leipzig winger is still admired by the Serie A club, yet his price tag could push Roma toward a cheaper alternative.
Nusa signed a five-year contract with RB Leipzig until 2029 for a transfer fee of €21 million, marking his move to the German Bundesliga on 13th August 2024.
In his debut season with Leipzig (2024-25), he contributed 1 goal and 1 assist in 11 matches; overall at Leipzig as of November 2025, he has recorded 4 goals and 4 assists in 32 Bundesliga appearances despite injury interruptions, helping the team in domestic and European campaigns.
The 21-year-old is said to be open in principle to a switch to Rome, but Leipzig’s valuation is the main obstacle. The German club are reportedly asking for around 55 million euros, a figure Roma may see as too steep for the moment.
That has opened the door for Jean-Mattéo Bahoya of Eintracht Frankfurt, who is being discussed as a more realistic plan B. Frankfurt are believed to want about 30 million euros for the French forward, making him a far more affordable option for the Italian side.
Nusa has been linked with Roma before, and earlier reports suggested Leipzig planned to keep him rather than sell. Since then, he has continued to attract attention, including through his performances at the World Cup.
