Antoine Semenyo believes his versatility can be a real weapon in Manchester City’s Premier League title charge.
Known at Bournemouth for his ability to play on either wing or through the middle as a centre-forward, he is ready to bring that same flexibility to Pep Guardiola’s squad.
“It’s crazy, it’s a dream of mine to be part of a team competing for the title,” Semenyo admitted, reflecting on the step up in expectations at City.
“It’s also a lot of pressure and demands but I’ve been fine, getting on with it and doing my job. I know I can help the team in many ways. I think being able to play in multiple positions helps. Anywhere I’m needed, I’ll do a job.”
The forward has hit the ground running since his move, scoring five goals and providing two assists in just eight games for his new club. His energy, work rate, and tactical adaptability give Guardiola extra options across the front line as City battle on multiple fronts.
If Semenyo maintains this level, his mid-season arrival could prove one of the key factors in City’s push to retain the Premier League trophy.
