Anthony Musaba: Ipswich eye move for Fenerbahce winger in summer transfer talks
Anthony Musaba, the Netherlands and DR Congo winger currently at Fenerbahce, is being linked with a move to Premier League side Ipswich Town as the English club assess wide options for the new season.
The 25-year-old left winger only joined Fenerbahce in January 2026 from Samsunspor in a €5m deal, but his form in Turkey’s top flight has alerted Ipswich’s recruitment team. Musaba has made 32 league appearances in the Super Lig, contributing five goals and six assists, and has also delivered in cup and European fixtures, including two goals and two assists in the Europa Conference League.
Musaba is under contract at Fenerbahce until June 2030, a long-term deal that is likely to strengthen the Turkish club’s position in any negotiations and could drive up the required fee, with his current valuation standing at around €7m. Fenerbahce may be reluctant to lose a player who has helped them secure the Turkish Super Cup and been recognised as a leading assist provider in the current campaign.
Ipswich’s interest comes as they look to add proven end product in wide areas following promotion to the Premier League. Musaba, who has experience in the Eredivisie, Belgium’s top flight, the Championship and now the Super Lig, is viewed as a player capable of adapting quickly to another major European league.
No agreement has been reached and talks remain at an exploratory stage, with Fenerbahce in a strong position to keep Musaba given the length of his contract and his growing importance to their attack.
