Ansu Fati’s loan spell at Monaco is quietly turning into one of the most efficient goal runs in Europe, even if injuries and limited minutes have kept him out of the spotlight.
The Barcelona forward has scored seven goals in just 13 Ligue 1 matches, playing only 522 minutes and starting five of those games. That works out to an outstanding average of 1.04 goals per 90 minutes, currently the best strike rate of any attacker in the French top flight this season.
His numbers outshine several bigger headline names in Ligue 1. Mason Greenwood has 13 league goals at a rate of 0.72 per 90 minutes, while Joaquín Panichelli averages 0.54 and Ousmane Dembélé stands at 0.75 with a similar amount of playing time. Despite his limited minutes, Fati already sits seventh in the league’s scoring charts, with only six players ahead of him in total goals.
For Monaco, his productivity only underlines how much they miss his presence when he is sidelined.
Folarin Balogun and Maghnes Akliouche have each managed four league goals, as muscle problems have forced Fati to miss eight matches and slowed what could be an even more spectacular campaign.
