Spanish forward of Guinea-Bissau descent, Ansu Fati, will decide his next club at the end of the season.
According to his agent Jorge Mendes, the forward is fine at FC Barcelona but has not yet decided on his next club.
“He’s fine. Everything’s fine…I don’t know yet,” Mendes told El Chiringuito in an interview.
As reported by Africasoccer in the last few weeks, Fati has decided that he will leave the La Liga club at the end of the 2024/25 football season.
The attacker, who still has two years remaining on his contract, has endured a tough spell at the Catalan club following a significant dip in form.
Once heralded as Barcelona’s next big star, the young forward has struggled to recapture his spark, leaving the club seemingly ready to move on.
Despite still wearing the iconic number 10 shirt, Fati has managed only nine appearances this season and is yet to find the back of the net since 2023.
Although he is a transfer target of clubs in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, Ansu Fati wants to stay in Europe to get his career back on track.
The 22-year-old believes he has the quality to turn things around and will sign for an European club in the summer window.
Already, Dortmund and Sevilla are said to be interested in signing the forward.
