Guinea-Bissau-born forward, Ansu Fati, is likely to start for FC Barcelona on Tuesday night when the team takes on RCD Mallorca in the Spanish La Liga.
According to information gathered from Spanish sources, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is considering handing the youngster a start as he plans on resting some key players ahead of the Copa del Rey final.
Ansu Fati has struggled for game time this season, featuring in just nine matches under Hansi Flick. In what has been a very difficult season for the attacker, he has only made one start since the campaign began.
However, with star striker Robert Lewandowski set to miss the RCD Mallorca game due to injury and the club eager to avoid further setbacks before the Copa del Rey final, the Barcelona manager is expected to rotate his squad.
If selected, this would mark Ansu Fati’s first start since October. He will hope to make an impact in the game to impress clubs looking to secure his services at the end of the season.
Tonight’s match between Barcelona and Mallorca will kick off at 7:30pm.
