Ansu Fati ready to commit future to Monaco
Ansu Fati is reportedly keen to continue at AS Monaco rather than return to Barcelona once his loan spell ends.
The Spanish winger has revived his career in France, scoring 10 goals in 27 games after several stop-start seasons at Barca marked by injuries and inconsistency.
Regular minutes and a stable role in Monaco’s attack have convinced Fati that remaining in the Principality is the best path for his development. The loan agreement includes an €11 million buy option, and Monaco are now viewed as increasingly likely to activate it, with the player also open to sealing the move.
Barcelona, for their part, are understood to support this direction. The club’s sporting department no longer see Fati as a crucial part of their long-term project, making a sale a logical step for all parties. Once touted as Lionel Messi’s natural heir at Camp Nou, Fati’s journey was derailed by fitness problems, but a permanent switch to Monaco offers him the chance to rebuild his career away from that heavy expectation.
