Ansu Fati opens up on uncertain Barcelona future
Ansu Fati has admitted that he remains unsure about his long-term future with FC Barcelona as speculation continues surrounding the forward’s next move.
The attacker, currently on loan at AS Monaco, revealed that he is enjoying life in France after an impressive campaign with the Ligue 1 side.
Fati has featured in 28 matches across all competitions this season and has scored 11 goals, rediscovering some of the form that once made him one of Barcelona’s brightest young stars.
Speaking in an interview with Radio SER Catalunya, the Spanish international reflected on his complicated journey in recent years and the uncertainty surrounding his future.
“My dream was to succeed at Barcelona, but many things happened that people don’t know or see,” Fati said.
He also admitted that football moves quickly and that patience is often limited at the highest level of the game.
“We must accept things and what comes with time. In football, everything happens very quickly. There is no patience, and fate chose this path for me,” he added.
When asked about his plans for next season, the forward avoided making any firm commitment regarding a return to Barcelona.
“I don’t know yet. I hope to finish the season, and then make the decision that I think is best for me and my family,” he explained.
Fati’s comments are likely to fuel further speculation over whether Monaco will attempt to keep him permanently or if Barcelona still see a future for the talented forward at the club.
