Ansu Fati keeps Barcelona door open amid Monaco stay talk
Ansu Fati looks increasingly likely to remain at Monaco, but the forward insists he has not ruled out a future return to Barcelona, keeping all possibilities on the table.
His recent comments suggest he is enjoying life in France while still thinking carefully about the next step in his career.
Asked about going back to Barcelona, Fati said: “You have to accept things as they are. My dream was to succeed at Barcelona, but a lot happened that people don’t know or see. In football, everything happens very quickly. There’s no time for patience. Fate chose this path for me. We’ll see what happens.”
Reflecting on his season in Monaco, he explained that he finally feels free again on the pitch and is enjoying his football in a way he has not for years. He also highlighted how Monaco’s playing style and strong academy structure remind him of Barcelona, helping him settle quickly. For now, Monaco appear keen to keep him, but Fati seems focused on playing with freedom and letting his long-term future sort itself out in due course.
