Ansu Fati and Paul Pogba have both landed in the Principality of Monaco as they edge closer to finalising moves to Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.
The high-profile arrivals signal the club’s intent to strengthen key areas ahead of the upcoming season.
Fati, who was born in Guinea-Bissau before representing Spain, and Pogba, whose parents are Guinean, bring a blend of youthful promise and seasoned experience to the Monégasque squad.
Their arrivals are expected to bolster Monaco’s midfield and attacking depth.
According to Le Parisien, Pogba touched down in Monaco on Thursday and is now set to undergo a medical before putting pen to paper on a two-year deal.
The 32-year-old has been without a club since his suspension due to a doping violation, but Monaco appear confident in his readiness to return to top-flight football.
Fati, 22, is also in Monaco to finalise a season-long loan move from Barcelona, as reported by Foot Mercato.
The deal is expected to include a purchase option, giving Monaco the chance to secure the forward permanently should he impress over the course of the campaign.
His medical has been scheduled for Friday, with formal announcements anticipated over the weekend.
Both signings are part of a broader summer strategy by Monaco to reinforce their squad after a mixed campaign last season.
The arrival of Fati and Pogba follows the earlier signing of England international Eric Dier, who joined on a free transfer earlier in the window.
