Anis Didon: Franco-Algerian right-back joins Onet-le-Chateau on free transfer from Rodez AF B
Franco-Algerian defender Anis Didon has joined Onet-le-Chateau Football from Rodez AF B on a free transfer, strengthening the National 2 side at right-back for the new campaign.
The 21-year-old moves across the Aveyron after leaving Rodez’s reserve team, where he featured primarily as a right-back. The switch, completed on 22 July 2026, keeps Didon in the same division, with both clubs competing in National 2 Group A.
Didon, who is right-footed and can operate across the defensive line, steps into senior football at Onet-le-Chateau after progressing through the youth and reserve structure at Rodez. He made his first appearance at National 3 level last season, adding to a solid record at under-19 level.
During his time with Rodez’s U19s, Didon played 15 matches in the National U19 Group D, scoring two goals from defence and logging more than 1,300 minutes on the pitch. That exposure, alongside participation in youth cup competitions, provided his first sustained taste of national-level football in France.
Before joining Rodez’s academy in 2022 from Montauban, Didon came through the youth ranks at Montauban Jgd and Montauban U17, building his reputation as a dependable option on the right side of the back line. His move to Onet-le-Chateau marks the next step in a career that has so far been centred in the south-west of France.
The transfer sees Didon complete a permanent free move from Rodez AF B to Onet-le-Chateau Football ahead of the 2026–27 season.
