Al-Masry Al-Portsaidi returned to winning ways under new head coach Anis Boujlban, securing a 3-0 win over Smouha at the New Suez Stadium in the 16th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Anis Boujlban, who was taking charge of his first match with the team, guided Al-Masry to their first victory in three games.
Salah Mohsen was the star of the match, scoring a brace in the 5th and 45+1 minutes, while Nigerian forward John Ebuka sealed the win with a goal in the 90+1 minute. The result saw Al-Masry move up to 27 points, placing them in fourth position, while Smouha, led by coach Ahmed Sami, remained on 17 points, sitting 13th in the table.
The team, backed by president Kamel Abu Ali, will now look ahead to their next challenge, a fixture against Modern Sport on March 3rd, before switching their focus to the Egypt Cup clash with National Bank on March 7th.
