Tunisian coach Anis Boujelbene was left frustrated after his Al Masry side missed out on a crucial win against Egyptian league leaders Pyramids.
Al-Masry battled to a goalless draw on Wednesday in the first round of the Egyptian League coronation group, failing to capitalize on key chances.
Speaking to “On Sport,” Boujelbene lamented his team’s inability to convert their opportunities, stressing that they had three clear chances to seal the victory.
“We played a big match against the Egyptian league leaders, but we came to Suez to win,” he stated.
The intense encounter saw both sides engage in a physical battle, with Al-Masry coming close to snatching a late winner. Pyramids, who have only suffered one league defeat this season—ironically at the hands of Al-Masry in the first stage—escaped with a point.
Boujelbene emphasized the need to move forward, shifting focus to the upcoming clash against Zed FC in the Club Cup next Wednesday.
