Angola receives strong backing to win 2025 Africa Cup of Nations

Former Angolan national team player, Djalma Campos, is backing his country to win the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Speaking to Koora, Djalma admitted that the Angola national team is not filled with stars.

However, he is confident that the country’s national team is very strong and can deliver the AFCON title at the end of the 2025 tournament in Morocco.

“Angola has a tough group.. I think we all know the strength of Egypt, but in this competition, you have to think about the extra motivation and all the matches will be tough, but I think Angola has a chance to pass the group stage.

“Yes, Angola has a chance to win the title. Our team has strong players. We do not have stars, but we have a team that gives very good results,” Djalma Campos said.

At the 2025 AFCON, Angola has been drawn in Group B and will face off with Egypt, Zimbabwe and South Africa,
