Angola midfielder Deco completes move from Alverca B to Imishli
Angola midfielder Deco has joined Azerbaijan’s Imishli from Portuguese side Alverca B, completing a move that takes the 21-year-old into the Premyer Liqa.
The central midfielder has signed a contract with Imishli running until 30 June 2028. The transfer was completed on 28 August 2026, with the clubs involved in the move confirmed as Imishli and Alverca B.
Deco arrives after one season with Alverca B, whom he joined from Castrense in July 2025. That earlier move was completed as a free transfer, while the terms of his switch to Imishli have not been disclosed.
Born in Luanda, Deco represents Angola and stands 1.73m tall. He is right-footed and plays primarily in central midfield, offering Imishli a player whose recorded position is in the middle of the pitch.
His move also marks a change in competition, taking him from Portugal’s Campeonato de Portugal Serie C to Azerbaijan’s top-flight Premyer Liqa. Imishli are the latest club in a career that began in Portugal, where Deco previously played for Castrense and Alverca B after coming through the P. Luanda Under-19 side.
Deco’s arrival comes at the start of the 2026-27 campaign. He did not make an appearance for Alverca B in the recorded Campeonato de Portugal Serie C competition before switching clubs, and joins Imishli with his new contract already in place.
The transfer gives the Angolan midfielder a new club and a move into Azerbaijani football, while extending his time in senior football beyond Portugal. He has now committed to Imishli through the end of June 2028.
