Ange Mutsinzi transitions to Zira FK in Azerbaijan

Ange Mutsinzi, the Rwandan defender, has chosen a new path in his football career, opting to join Azerbaijan’s top-flight team, Zira FK, after departing from Norwegian club FK Jerv.

The 26-year-old defender finalized a move to Zira FK, signing a contract that extends until 2027, marking a significant transition for him from Norwegian football to Azerbaijan’s Premier League.

His departure from FK Jerv, where he spent 1.5 years, culminated in 45 appearances, all as a starter, during which he contributed 3 goals and 2 assists.

“Zire PFC has reached an agreement with a new footballer, Ange Mutsinzi, from Norwegian club Jerv.

A 3-year contract has been signed with the Rwandan defender,” announced Zira FK in a statement confirming the acquisition.

Mutsinzi’s journey to Zira FK represents another chapter in his European football odyssey.

Beginning his career in Rwanda with spells at Rayon Sport and APR FC, he ventured to Europe in 2021, signing with Trofense in Portugal before making his mark at FK Jerv from February 2023 onwards.
