Gabonese international André Biyogo Poko has officially signed with Amed Spor, a club competing in Turkey’s second division.
The transfer was confirmed on Wednesday, February 5, marking the next step in the midfielder’s career following a brief spell in Croatia.
Poko, 32, joins the Turkish side after his time with NK Istra 1961, where he was under contract until June 2025.
However, his tenure in Croatia was cut short as he opted for a new challenge in Turkey.
Despite his limited appearances, Poko made a positive impression during his stint with Istra.
During his time at the Croatian club, Poko featured in eight matches, accumulating 309 minutes of playing time.
While his involvement on the pitch was restricted, his performances left a mark before his departure.
Amed Spor officially announced his arrival with a welcoming message: “Welcome André Poko! The former NK Istra midfielder will now wear the colours of Amed Spor!”
NK Istra 1961 also acknowledged his exit, expressing gratitude for his contributions: “André Poko is no longer a player of Istra 1961 and will continue his career at Amed SK.
He joined the team at the beginning of the season and played eight games.
Thank you for your cooperation and good luck for the future!
Poko’s move ensures he remains in European football, bringing his experience and defensive midfield capabilities to the Turkish second division.
Amed Spor will be hoping his addition strengthens their squad as they navigate the challenges of the season ahead.
