André Onana and family escape injury after car accident in Turkey

Trabzonspor goalkeeper André Onana and his family escaped injury after being involved in a chain-reaction car accident in Turkey following his side’s 2-0 victory over Hearts.

The incident reportedly occurred near Yomra after the Cameroonian goalkeeper left Papara Park, where Trabzonspor had secured the win in their European fixture.

According to Turkish website 61saat, the accident involved several vehicles after one car struck another from behind. The impact reportedly pushed Onana’s vehicle into the car in front, resulting in a chain collision.

Photographs released after the incident showed damage to the front of the goalkeeper’s vehicle, particularly around the bumper. Some parts of the car were also reportedly dislodged by the force of the collision.

Despite the impact, Onana and the family members travelling with him escaped without injuries. Reports indicated that everyone in the goalkeeper’s vehicle was in good health following the accident.

The incident came shortly after Trabzonspor’s victory over Hearts, with Onana having featured in the team’s European campaign before the reported road accident.

Trabzonspor officials also visited the scene to check on the goalkeeper and establish his condition after the collision.

The club’s representatives reportedly monitored the situation as details of the accident emerged. The available reports indicated that Onana and his family were safe, despite the visible damage to the vehicle.

The accident attracted attention because of the involvement of the Cameroon international, who plays for Trabzonspor in Turkey.

While photographs showed damage to the front of his car, the reports said that neither Onana nor his family members suffered injuries.

The goalkeeper’s safety was the main positive development following the incident, which occurred as he and his family were travelling after Trabzonspor’s 2-0 European victory over Hearts.

The details of the accident were reported by 61saat, while Trabzonspor officials reportedly checked on Onana following the collision.
