Anderlecht welcome Morocco forward Tawfik Bentayeb on deal until 2030

Tawfik Bentayeb has signed a four-year contract with Anderlecht after completing the final formalities of his transfer from Union Touarga Sport. The Morocco forward travelled to Belgium after receiving approval from the Moroccan club’s directors and is now officially a player of the Brussels side.

The move, first reported exclusively by Africafoot on Thursday morning, was completed after Bentayeb obtained all the administrative documents required for his journey to Belgium. Once he arrived, the remaining procedures progressed quickly and he was able to sign his new contract.

According to information from Sacha Tavolieri, Bentayeb put pen to paper on Thursday afternoon on an agreement that will keep him at Anderlecht until 2030. The transfer represents a significant next step for the Moroccan attacker, who is preparing to experience a new league and join one of Belgium’s leading clubs.

Bentayeb’s arrival follows his spell with Union Touarga Sport, where he established himself before earning the opportunity to continue his career abroad. He will now aim to secure a regular place in the Anderlecht attack and make an impact in Belgian football.

Anderlecht have brought him in to strengthen their forward options as they prepare for the remainder of the season. The club is counting on the Moroccan striker’s qualities after deciding to move ahead with the deal, which had been announced only a few hours before its completion.

The final approval from Union Touarga Sport allowed Bentayeb to travel, complete his medical and administrative arrangements, and formalise his switch. His status has now changed from a prospective signing to an official Anderlecht player, with his long-term contract confirming the club’s commitment to the forward.

The announcement comes shortly before Anderlecht’s first leg in the Europa League qualifying play-off round against Kairat Almaty. The Belgian club will face that tie as Bentayeb begins his new chapter in Brussels, although no details have been given about whether he will be involved in the match.

Betting company 1xbet lists Anderlecht as the favourites for the fixture, with odds of 2.17 for an Anderlecht victory. A draw is priced at 3.54, while a win for Kairat Almaty is listed at 3.47.

Bentayeb’s move is therefore complete after the necessary travel permissions and paperwork were secured. He will now attempt to establish himself in the colours of Anderlecht and make the transition from Union Touarga Sport to Belgian football.
