Nathan Kabasele Joins De Graafschap on Loan for the 2015/16 Season
Nathan Kabasele, the 21-year-old striker from RSC Anderlecht, has been loaned to Dutch Eredivisie side De Graafschap for the 2015/16 season. The move was confirmed by Anderlecht on Thursday. Kabasele, who was the top scorer for Anderlecht in last season’s Belgian Cup, departs the club alongside fellow player Chancel Mbemba, who has secured a transfer to Newcastle United.
The loan deal does not include a purchase option, meaning Kabasele will return to Anderlecht at the end of the season. This will mark a second stint for the striker at De Graafschap, as he previously spent the 2013-2014 season there, scoring six goals in 29 matches. Kabasele has also had previous loan spells at Westerlo (2012) and Torino (2013).
“I’ve already had a great time at Doetinchem,” Kabasele said in a statement on the Eredivisie club’s website. “I’m looking forward to working with Jan Vreman again.”
Kabasele, an U21 international for Belgium, will be aiming to further develop his skills during this season-long loan and hopes to make a positive impact at De Graafschap.
