AS Roma and Panathinaikos have reached an official agreement for the loan of Morocco left-back Anass Salah-Eddine, with the Greek club holding an option to buy.
Salah-Eddine will move to Athens in search of regular playing time and the chance to take another step forward in a competitive and ambitious league. His adaptation is expected to be helped by the presence of several familiar faces.
The Morocco international will reunite with compatriot Azzedine Ounahi at Panathinaikos, while Imran Louza is also part of the squad. The trio provides the Athens club with a promising Moroccan core that could play an important role in the team’s build-up and attacking play this season.
The arrival of Salah-Eddine strengthens Panathinaikos on the left side and underlines the club’s ambition to challenge for the leading positions in the Super League, while also establishing a strong presence in European competition.
For Salah-Eddine, the loan deal, which includes an option to buy, offers an opportunity to establish himself as an undisputed first-choice player.
