Thulani Serero and Ajax Amsterdam secured their third consecutive championship title in the Netherlands after a victory against Willem II with a score of 5-0 on the 33rd day of the championship. Despite not playing a single match in the league this season, Serero adds another league title to his achievements, having been part of the team in the previous season, where he played seven matches.
The second-place position goes to PSV Eindhoven, who solidified their standing with a victory against Nimegen (4-2) and benefited from Feyenoord’s defeat in The Hague with a score of 2-0.
This third consecutive title for Ajax is not only a significant achievement for the team but also for their coach, Frank de Boer. De Boer now joins the exclusive circle of coaches who have won the title three consecutive times in their first three years at a club. Previously, only Guus Hiddink had accomplished this feat. This latest triumph marks Ajax’s 32nd national title, further establishing their dominance in Dutch football
