Amr Warda returns to Larissa with fresh determination
Amr Warda has begun a fresh chapter in his career after sealing a one-year deal with Greek side Larissa.
The Egyptian forward, 31, joins as a free agent and is returning to familiar ground where he previously impressed fans during the 2019-2020 season while on loan from PAOK.
For Warda, Larissa represents more than just another stop in his journey. It is a place where he once felt at home, and now he has the chance to reignite that bond with supporters.
His story began in Alexandria with Sporting before a move to Al Ahly and later Al Ittihad. The switch paved the way for his first European adventure in 2015 with Panetolikos. Since then, Warda has built a career across Greece and Cyprus, with spells at Atromitos, PAOK, Volos, Anorthosis Famagusta, and even a brief stint in Morocco with Raja Casablanca.
With 190 Greek league appearances and 41 goals, Warda has carved out a reputation as one of the most impactful Arab players to grace Greek football. Larissa fans will hope his return sparks another memorable season.
