Amney Moutassime: Italian-Moroccan winger joins Lecco on free transfer
Italian-Moroccan winger Amney Moutassime has joined Lecco from German club TSG Balingen on a free transfer. The 22-year-old left winger has signed a contract with the Serie C club that runs until 30 June 2027.
Moutassime makes the switch after two seasons with Balingen, having joined the club in July 2024 as a free agent. He made 29 appearances in the Oberliga Baden-Wurttemberg during the 2024-25 season, scoring eight goals and providing one assist.
The left-footed attacker also featured in the Regionalliga Sudwest, where he recorded seven goals and three assists in 33 appearances. Across those two competitions, Moutassime accumulated 62 appearances, 15 goals and four assists.
His move to Lecco represents a return to Italian football after an earlier spell with FC Sudtirol’s under-19 side. Moutassime joined Sudtirol in July 2023 and made eight appearances in Primavera 2, scoring once and adding one assist before leaving the club in January 2024.
The player began his youth career in Germany with Freiburg, progressing from the club’s youth set-up to the under-17 and under-19 teams. He later played in the DFB-Pokal der Junioren and U19-Bundesliga Sud/Sudwest, registering three goals and one assist in four junior cup appearances and six goals with four assists in 19 league matches.
Moutassime has also appeared in senior Italian competitions. He played twice in Serie B and made one appearance in the German third tier, although those outings amounted to nine and 25 minutes respectively.
Lecco have now added a player whose most recent senior experience came with Balingen, where he featured regularly in Germany’s regional competitions. His deal with the club is scheduled to remain in place for the 2026-27 season.
The transfer was completed on 31 July 2026, with Moutassime leaving TSG Balingen to sign for Lecco without a fee.
