Amir Richardson: Morocco midfielder at Fiorentina linked with Le Havre AC return in Ligue 1 move

Morocco international Amir Richardson, currently at Fiorentina, is being linked with a return to former club Le Havre AC in a potential move back to Ligue 1. The 24-year-old central midfielder, who also holds French nationality, is under contract with the Serie A side until June 2029 but has emerged as a target for the Normandy club as they look to strengthen their midfield options.

Richardson’s situation in Florence is being closely monitored after a mixed first spell in Italy, during which he was loaned to Copenhagen in January 2026 before returning to Fiorentina at the end of that season-long arrangement. Fiorentina paid €9 million to sign him from Stade Reims in August 2024 and his current market value is listed at around €4 million, underlining that any deal would likely require significant negotiation rather than a low-cost exit.

Le Havre know Richardson well from his formative years. The 1.97m left-footer progressed from Le Havre’s youth ranks into the first team, making his name in Ligue 2 before earning a permanent move to Reims in 2022. He played a key role in Le Havre’s 2022-23 campaign as they won the French second tier and secured promotion to the top flight, an achievement that has kept him highly regarded at the club.

Internationally, Richardson has enhanced his profile with Morocco, winning the Under-23 Africa Cup in 2023 and taking a bronze medal at the 2024 Olympic Games. For now, he remains tied to a long-term deal at Fiorentina, leaving any prospective return to Le Havre dependent on the Italian club’s willingness to sanction a transfer.
