Amir Abdou bids farewell to Hassania Agadir, praises players and fans after accepting Burkina Faso job

Comoran coach Amir Abdou has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Hassania Agadir following his decision to take over as head coach of the Burkina Faso national team, leaving the Moroccan club in the middle of the Botola Pro season.

His final match with Hassania came against Raja Casablanca.

On his Instagram account, Abdou shared a personal message, extending appreciation to everyone at the Moroccan club.

“Today’s chapter is closed, but I am very proud to have been part of the Hassania Agadir family,” Abdou said.

He continued, “Thank you to the players for your trust, to the technical staff for their tireless daily work, and of course to the vast fan base for your amazing passion.”

Reflecting on his time at the club, the former Comoros coach added, “This adventure will remain etched in my memory, and after having the honour of wearing these colours, I will always remain a follower and a lover of you.”

“I wish you all the best for the future. Keep making this club proud.”

Hassania Agadir’s management confirmed on Wednesday that they have launched a formal escalation process against Abdou after he submitted a document unilaterally terminating his contract, signalling a potentially contentious end to his tenure at the club.
