Amine Salama has completed a loan move from Stade Reims to Dutch side NAC Breda, sealing a temporary switch that takes the French-Moroccan centre-forward out of French football and into the Eredivisie. The deal is officially registered as a loan transfer, with the move starting on 2026-02-03 and scheduled to run until 2026-06-30, after which he is due to return to Reims at the end of the loan period.
The transfer places the 25-year-old, currently valued at €1.50m, in a new league and a new country after a career spent entirely in France and, more recently, a short spell in Italy. NAC Breda gain a tall, 1.92m right-footed striker whose main position is at the heart of the attack, while Reims retain his rights beyond the agreed loan end date, leaving open the possibility of further decisions on his future once he returns from the Netherlands.
Salama arrives in Breda with a varied recent club path. After emerging at Montrouge FC 92, he moved to USL Dunkerque, then earned a switch to Angers SCO, where his market value rose sharply, peaking at €1.80m and €3.00m during his time at Angers and later at Stade Reims. Reims signed him from Angers, and he has since experienced several loan spells: first to SM Caen in France and then to Torino FC in Italy, before returning each time to the Champagne club at the end of those loans. Most recently, he went back to Reims from Torino at the end of that Italian spell, prior to this new loan to NAC Breda.
The move also underlines Salama’s growing reputation as a player comfortable stepping outside his home environment. Born in Paris and holding both French and Moroccan nationality, he has already played in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 in France, as well as Serie A in Italy during his time with Torino. Now he adds the Eredivisie to that list, giving him experience in three different European leagues before his 26th birthday.
With the agreement clearly defined as a loan transfer running from 2026-02-03 to 2026-06-30, there is no indication in the data of any fee beyond the loan arrangement, nor of an option or obligation to buy. Once the spell in the Netherlands concludes, his contract situation reverts to Stade Reims, meaning his medium-term future will again depend on the French club’s plans. Depending on the decisions taken at that point, and any remaining contractual term, there is scope for him either to reintegrate at Reims or for his situation to evolve towards another move, including the possibility of eventually becoming a free agent if no extension or further transfer is agreed.
For NAC Breda, the signing brings in a forward whose market value has fluctuated between €300k earlier in his career at Dunkerque and the current €1.50m mark, reflecting both his development and the ups and downs of recent seasons and loan spells. For Salama, the Dutch chapter presents a fresh opportunity to reassert himself as a leading option through the middle, to adapt to Eredivisie football, and to influence how Reims – and potential future suitors – judge his next career step once the loan expires on 2026-06-30.
