Amin Boudri: Sweden-Morocco midfielder at LAFC linked with Hammarby move in Allsvenskan switch talk

Sweden-Morocco attacking midfielder Amin Boudri of LAFC is being linked with a move to Allsvenskan side Hammarby in what would be an early return to Scandinavian football for the 21-year-old. The Stockholm-born playmaker, who joined Los Angeles FC in January 2026, is under contract with the MLS club until June 2029, meaning any deal is likely to require a significant fee.

Boudri moved to LAFC from Swedish club GAIS for around €3.3m and has since been valued at about €3m. His time in MLS has so far brought only limited league action, with four appearances and no goals or assists in the 2026 season, as he competes for minutes in an established attacking unit.

Hammarby’s interest comes amid that relatively restricted role, with the Stockholm club exploring options to strengthen their attacking midfield department for the Allsvenskan campaign. A return to his home city could be a key factor, with Boudri having been born in Stockholm and holding Swedish and Moroccan nationality.

Before his move to the United States, Boudri progressed through AIK’s youth ranks before heading to Italy with Venezia’s under-19s and then back to Sweden with GAIS, where his performances prompted LAFC to act in the last winter window. His current long-term deal with the MLS side runs through the summer of 2029, leaving LAFC in a strong position in any negotiations over the midfielder’s future.
